Geri Halliwell is reportedly considering adopting a child from Africa.
Geri visited Zambia with the UN last year.
Geri spoke about being a single mother and expanding her family saying, “I’m so supported, and I’m so privileged. So many women today are single parents, I don’t feel different. I think you get out of life what you put into it, and Bluebell was a beautiful accident. I feel blessed to have her. I’m learning every day as a mother.”
Geri said she’s “educating myself about overseas adoption at the moment”, including visiting poor countries about which she said, “I went to Zambia last year, and what I saw there was unbelievable. I didn’t find the trip easy, but I’m glad I did it. The fact is that people talk about childbirth in the poorest countries, but it’s only when you see these places that you realise what it means. I met mothers who didn’t have any of the things I’d taken for granted, such as antenatal care. The clinics were miles away, can you imagine being pregnant and having to walk 50km for treatment? At first I was a single, young Bridget Jones kind of woman. I was operating in a selfish world, now I’m a mother my compassion has expanded.”

Cate Blanchett should have expected the pregnancy rumour mill to go into overdrive when she refused alcoholic drinks recently.
A source said, “Tongues started wagging when she wouldn’t drink after the premiere for Elizabeth: The Golden Age last week. It was such a big night it was strange she didn’t join in the celebrations.”

I was surprised when I first read that David and Victoria were thinking of moving to America. I know there was a lot of money involved in his transfer, but I was still surprised when they actually left England. I couldn’t imagine them being happy living there, and sadly it seems they aren’t.
I think the only improvement in their lives living in LA instead of England would be the sunshine.
Maybe once Victoria has finished her upcoming Spice Girls tour and is home more they will make some more friends and feel more at home?
Britney Spears is reportedly furious that her ex Kevin Federline is escaping the court ordered drug testing, while she has to submit to random checks. A friend of Britney’s said, “She is furious. She believes the court is more sympathetic towards Kevin.”
I agree, it does seem as though the court has handed out one rule for Britney and another for Kevin.
Britney needs to get her lawyers to sort this out, obviously in the name of fairness Kevin should be ordered to submit to random drug tests too.

Kylie Minogue was all smiles last night as she was presented with the Music Industry Trust’s Award in recognition of her 20 year career.
The event took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
Kylie was described as ‘an icon of pop and style’, who has continued to ‘reinvent, experiment and inspire’.
Kylie is the first woman to receive the award, in the event’s 16 year history.
Kylie said of her award, “It is an incredible honour to be the recipient of this year’s Music Industry Trust’s Award and I am truly thrilled to be recognised in this way.”
David Munns, Chairman of the Award committee, said, “There is no doubt that of our 15 Award recipients to date, Kylie is by far the most glamorous.”

Other stars at the award ceremony included Jake Shears from the Scissor Sisters, and Sophie Ellis Bextor who attended with her husband, The Feeling bassist, Richard Jones.
Angelina Jolie is pregnant again, if the Italian newspapers are to be believed.
Angelina has reportedly cancelled her talk at a lecture at the UN linked Pio Manzu Centre in Italy, amid rumours that she is expecting another baby with partner Brad Pitt. Angelina’s talk would have been part of The Flight Of The Hummingbird conference, The Future Of Children In The Mind And Society Of The World. But at the last minute she cancelled due to ‘personal reasons’.
Letizia Manjani, a spokewoman for the Pio Manzu centre said, “Angelina cancelled last week. Due to her privacy I can’t confirm her pregnancy, but I can say that the Italian newspapers are correct in their reports.”

Johnny Depp reportedly left a village pub rather hungry, because he hadn’t booked a table. Johnny wanted a meal at the 18th century Fox and Goose Inn at Fressingfield, Suffolk. Unfortunately he was out of luck as all the pub’s tables were already taken.
Johnny is reportedly looking for a home in the area.
Maybe he should ask the Fox to reserve a permanent table for him? He should also remember that in England if you want to eat at a decent pub then you must arrive early.
